A combination of fun, fitness, and real life skills for kids from 4 to 12.


CORE-Kids Gracie Jiu Jitsu


* Focuses on grappling rather than striking
* Uses leverage and technique to gain advantage over even a larger, stronger opponent
* Based on a form of Jiu Jitsu made famous by the Gracie family of Brazil
* Taught by noted instructor Helio “Soneca” Moreira, who started his own career in martial arts at age 8

  • Emphasizes practical and realistic skills

CORE offers basic and advanced programs as well as combatives classes.
Taught by head instructor/Core owner Rolando Haddad, as well as Trey Anson, Kyle Moffett and Greg Burnette.


 

CoreFit (click here for more info)

CoreFit is an all-encompassing fitness program developed by RKC certified instructors Ed Long and Garrett Watson. Our high-energy workouts are designed to develop dynamic fitness levels by combining the result producing power of Kettlebells, body weight exercises, medicine balls, sandbags, power ropes, TRX suspension training, plyometrics, and other non-traditional strength implements. The wide variety of equipment coupled with our innovative training methods ensure that workouts are kept exciting and will challenge your body in ways not possible at the overcrowded, boring commercial gyms. With CoreFit, boredom is not an option.

CORE offers classes for all levels from beginner to advanced, taught by two-time world champion and fifth degree black belt Helio “Soneca” Moreira.


Kickboxing (click here for more info)

    Utilizing methods from Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and striking as it relates to MMA, these classes cover the fundamentals and advanced concepts of striking. There is a large focus on footwork, bag-work, head movement, combinations, 1-on-1 drills, sparring, and benefits all levels - beginner, amateur, and pro.

  • Begins with basic technique and then proceeds to more sophisticated maneuvers
  • Emphasizes sportsmanship, character and a positive attitude
  • Combines physical challenges with the mental stimulation of defense and strategy

The boxing program at CORE begins with the basics, then proceeds to more sophisticated combinations and competitive strategy. Taught by Adbdul Jarvis, retired kickboxing World Champion and professional boxer. Abdul has also trained numerous champions including Louisville native and current IBA World Champion Terri Blair.
